The project was to conduct technical audit for the maintenance funds provided by World
Bank to Government of Pakistan for the improvement of National Highways Network.

Responsibilities:

- Identify issues faced by contractors
- Review budget and financial reports for five financial years
- Identify the load generating locations which caused major damage to road surfaces
- Wrote recommendations for improvement of the contract systems
- Checked the roughness index on different road sites against the rough index shown by


the contractors maintaining the road infrastructure, that was done by randomly

selecting the sites in all the provincial capitals of Pakistan
